Join our experienced driver guide, a resident with 15 years of guiding experience, as they unveil the wonders of Ísafjörður and its surroundings.
This journey promises a captivating overview of Ísafjörður’s landscapes, showcasing unique mountains, boundless scenery, and an abundance of birdlife. Venture into the countryside and charming fishing villages, gaining insights into the daily lives and work of the locals.
Our adventure kicks off with a drive through Ísafjörður city to Tungudalur, where we’ll pause at a stunning waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Next, we’ll head to Flateyri, a picturesque fishing village, making stops at a viewing platform and the main street. Here, you can explore the old bookstore, the harbor, and admire the boats.
On the way back we will drive through the countryside with a brief stop at a farm – the driver’s home. Get a glimpse of the eiderduck nesting area, discover the secrets of this wild bird’s unique product, eiderdown, and, if in early summer, witness the birds in their nesting area and natural habitat.
Throughout the tour, we’ll make various stops for photo opportunities.
The adventure concludes with a drive through Ísafjörður city.
